History
	Thermodyn, Inc. was founded in 1968 by Robert and Yvonne Hicks as a commercial A/C, heating and refrigeration service and installation company. Residential A/C and heating service and installation was added out of necessity due to referrals from our commercial accounts. Ted Simpson had been active in the company since 1975 and succeeded the founders in 1982. Ted Simpson passed away in April of 2006. He was succeeded by Steve Howell and Kris Airgood who have been active in the business respectively since 1994 as a service technician and 1990 as the company accountant. Both Howell and Airgood are family oriented with strong community ties and participation.

	NATE North American Technician Excellence (NATE) is an independent, third-party organization that develops and promotes excellence in the installation and service of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment by recognizing high-quality industry technicians through voluntary testing and certification. Our technicians have passed the rigorous testing necessary to qualify as NATE Certified Technicians.

	HVAC EXCELLENCE CERTIFICATION HVAC Excellence is an independent, third-party organization that develops and promotes excellence in the installation and service of heating, ventilation, air conditioning, and refrigeration equipment by recognizing high-quality industry technicians through voluntary testing and certification. Our technicians have passed the rigorous testing necessary to qualify as HVAC Excellence Certified Technicians.

	EPA CERTIFICATION Section 608 of the Federal Clean Air Act requires that all persons who maintain, service, repair or dispose of appliances that contain regulated refrigerants be certified in proper refrigerant handling techniques.

	CHAMBER OF COMMERCE The Kokomo/Howard County Chamber of Commerce was established in 1914 as a private, not-for-profit corporation. We are a membership-based organization that represents the business voice in our community. Our vision is to improve the overall business climate by implementing programs/services that stimulate economic growth and enhance the quality of life in our community..

	Co-Owner Kris Airgood Kris has been with the company accountant since 1990. He has been an employee/owner for five years. Kris handles sales and oversees the office operation. Tenure: 6 Years Experience: 22 years
